About the Waldbad

To the north of the Danube, right next to the river, in the middle of the alluvial forests, the approximately 50,000 m² grounds of the Günzburg Waldbad are home to some ancient trees. Away from the noise and bustle of the city, yet close enough to reach the facility quickly by bike or on foot, lies the most beautiful oasis in the forest - which has now achieved cult status.

Created at the beginning of the 1960s, it offers all generations space to swim, sunbathe, play, laze around, meet friends or simply enjoy a cosy end to the day. The Danube cycle path passes right next to the Waldbad. Tired cyclists use the facility as a welcome opportunity to take a well-earned break.
